Embodied Processing
Embodied Processing (EP) is a somatic and psycho-spiritual healing modality. It is grounded in the latest neuroscience as well as the ancient healing traditions and also draws on approaches such as Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems and The Kiloby Inquiries.

As a 'bottom up' or body-centred modality, EP views emotional distress, survival stress and undigested life experiences as unprocessed constrictions in the body which disregulate the nervous system and cause suffering.

EP works to safely meet and digest these somatic wounds driving surface symptoms using the body's innate intelligence to discharge stress, heal and return to equilibrium.

This approach offers deeply supportive presence, invites you to meet yourself as you are and shift from an attitude of “fixing" to one of exploring and self-discovery so that transformation can happen naturally.
The initial focus in session work is on Resourcing or building a felt-sense of safety in your nervous system so that you can grow the capacity to be with your direct experience.
From this foundation of safety, EP can then help you to process emotions and stuck energies, meet and house 'orphaned' parts, find some resolution or completion from past experiences and start living from a more present and embodied place.
Embodied Processing was co-created by Australian practitioners Matt Kay and Ryan Hassan in response to their own lived experiences with trauma and addictions.
